Weekend Update
Friday started off right. We had bakery donuts for breakfast & a sign of a good weekend started on my Tupperware bowl with said donut. I also got to hang up some pretty amazing artwork in my office courtesy of Wyatt! That's pretty much the whole family, Skylar being the tallest. (yellow)
Friday afternoon, I got a text from a friend that the Open Enrollment decisions were in the mail for the Jr. High that we enrolled Sky in. I rushed home to open the letter, only to find out that she was denied:( I guess #'s were way too high this time around so a lot of kids were denied. I told Sky in the most positive way that I could, and she seems to be ok with it.
After that conversation, we headed to pick up her friend Evie for a sleepover! The girls & I headed to Skyline for dinner, while the boys headed to the batting cages & Hooters. After Skyline, I dropped by the store to get them cookies to bake & a movie to watch.
Saturday, the weather was perfect! Creag got up early to go fishing, so it was just the kiddos & I. I made PB&J Sushi for lunch & the kids were able to shoot some basketball out back before their Dad came to get them for the night.
After the kids left, we got cleaned up & headed to BW3's to enjoy a Bloody Mary & watch the UK Game. It was a close one, but they pulled it off & won. After that, we headed to the movies to see Lone Survivor. It was a great movie & we can't wait to watch it again, in the comfort of our own home. We had kind of a bad experience in the Theatre with a guy dressed in Fatigues who caused a scene with someone who he thought was laughing at the movie. Let's just say I was restless the rest of the movie & Creag was aggravated. It's sad people have to make a scene like that & ruin it for others. After the movie, we headed to a new spot, Drakes that we've been wanting to check out. Unfortunately, we made a lap & decided it wasn't for us so we headed to the Pub for a drink & dessert. We headed home at about 11. We just can't hang like we used to.
Sunday, Creag ran about 8 miles & I picked up the kiddos from their Dads. I had to force Skylar to do her Gymnastics & we finished up some homework & had our first grill out of the year.
Pretty good weekend all around. We all woke up this morning a little grumpy & not really ready for the week. Hopefully we can get a good nights sleep tonight & not be so cranky tomorrow morning!
