It's Friday!!!
It was Grandparent's Day today for 1st Grade, so Grandma Bert made the drive down. The kids met the Grandparents at a park down the street from their school, sang songs, and had a picnic for lunch afterwards. My parents were unable to come. Steve had a stroke Wednesday night and he's been in the hospital since. Everyone is praying that he recovers.
It's been raining all day and Hank's baseball game is cancelled for tonight. He loves to play & hates when his games are cancelled, but it'll be a nice little break. Tomorrow, our schedule is full. Ellery has a soccer game in the morning that we'd like to watch and then we have a First Communion Party for one of Skylar's friends, Evie, a baseball game @ 4 and Skylar has a soccer game @ 5:45. I'm tired just thinking about it but maybe, just maybe I'll get some pictures of my girl on the field!!
Skylar's had K Prep testing most of the week at school. I'm crossing my fingers that she does well. This school year has been the most difficult yet. Everyone tells me that 4th Grade is the hardest, so I'm looking forward to next year. 9 more days of school to go!! I also just got Hank's Spring test results back & he rocked it!! I am so unbelievably proud of him and how well he has done this year. Learning just comes natural to him and I look forward to watching him next year in 2nd Grade!
As you can see in the picture, he's gone up dramatically from the beginning of the school year, but what is even cooler is that he set goals for himself with his teacher based on what they thought he could do and he passed it! He's just about as high as you can go on the chart in Reading and in Math he is above the chart which is awesome!
