We had already had 5 tickets for the Reds Game this past Monday night, May 6th through Northern Kentucky Baseball. It was Kid Glove Night and some of the profit from each ticket sold went to the League that your child participated in. Monday was also Edie's funeral and a lot of family was in from out of town. With out knowing that we already had tickets to the game, everyone else got together & decided to go to the game together. It was a good turnout & we were all able to sit pretty close together, in the same section.
After the kids got out of school, we hustled to get to the Ball Park early for batting practice. We missed the Reds, but caught a little bit of the Braves. After batting practice was finished, we took the kids over to the play area until the game started.
Around the start of the game, we had to drag the kids away from all of the fun and head over to our seats. Unfortunately, the game started out badly and the Braves were killing us through most of the game. Skylar was involved & into the game the entire time. She hooped & hollered, "Strike him out, Arroyo!" She wanted the free pizza from Laroza's after 11 K's! Luckily we got it, but I felt like I was sitting near someone with Turrets Syndrome! Wyatt danced his little booty off towards the end & I held him while we sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game". Afterwards, he looked at me and said "When are we going to say The Pledge of Allegiance"? I'm telling you, that child of mine is the cutest!! Everything he says makes me beam with pride on how cute he is!
The Reds were losing, so we left before the game ended and while we were walking out, they started to make a come back so we stopped to watch it on one of the TVs on the way out. Little man put on his Rally Cap hoping they'd pull it off. They ended up losing, but hey, it was worth a try & hilarious to see.
GO REDS!!
