Weekend Recap
(A day late)

Whew, I'm worn out today from our Anniversary yesterday.  We went to the Opening Day Reds Game and can't wait to recap it on here!  Today though, I'm going to go back & recap our weekend:)

Friday night, Skylar spent the night w/ Evie and Sammie had soccer practice so I picked up the boys from Silverlake and we stopped by the store to get a few last minute things for Hank's Easter Party & then we stopped and picked up to-go wings for dinner and met Creag & Sammie back at the house.  We watched a little bit of basketball and then put the kids to bed early because Sam had a 9AM soccer game on Saturday.  After the kiddos were in bed, Creag walked across the street to watch a little more basketball at Brent's and I brewed myself a cup of coffee & caught up on my shows on the DVR in bed.  Perfect night!

Saturday morning, we got up early and the kids did great.  After we were ready, we headed to the soccer field.  It was a decent morning, not too cold at all.  Sam played goalie again this game for a quarter and did so much better than last week!  We were really proud of her.

Cheering his sister on.

After the game, we ran through McDonald's for breakfast and went to pick up Skylar from Evie's.  When we got home, we rushed to get ready for a 12:50 Easter Egg Hunt at Silverlake and then we had family pictures scheduled fpr 2:00.  We barely make it to Silverlake on time.  We got there at 12:51 and the Easter Egg Hunt was over:(  The kids were bummed and honestly I was too.  They started the hunt early, so not gonna lie, I was a little peeved!  We hung out for a few minutes & then left.

We arrived a little early for our pictures so I went into DSW to use the rest of my gift card that Creag had gotten me for Valentines Day.  I got a mint green pair of Sperry's & a cute pair of heels for our trip.  The family pictures that we had done went really well.  The kids were a little tired, but cooperated and had fun.  After we selected our pictures that we wanted to purchase, we went to lunch at Skyline and then went back to Portrait Innovations to pick our pictures up.  Here's a little sneak peek....I absolutely LOVE the goofy pose, and I love my husband even more for buying frames when he went to the grocery store and then hanging the pictures up on Saturday night!

As if all of the above wasn't enough on Saturday, we got home, picked up the house real quick and then set up for Hank's party.  It started at 6:00.  He had 3 friends show up and they had a lot of fun.  We made pizza & popcorn and had peep smore's for dessert.  The boys were actually very calm compared to a lot of the girls Skylar brings around which was very surprising.  They played video games, played outside for a bit & then watched the movie Hop until their parents came to get them.  Hank gave each of his friends a thing of cotton candy to take home with them.  He told each of them "Thank you for coming & I'll see you Monday."  It was so cute and I'm so glad I let him do this!  Maybe we'll do it again next year!

After everyone left, we got the kids ready for bed.  The kids sat out their baskets out for the Easter Bunny the night before again this year.  Hank & Wyatt wrote the Easter Bunny a letter & left him a baggy of jelly beans & a baggie of carrots:)

Easter morning, the kids were up early and excited.  The Easter Bunny really cut back this year which I'm grateful for ;)!  We always have wayyyy too much candy around our house.  I cooked a new breakfast recipe on Sunday morning called toast cups after everything settled and they turned out amazing.  I'll definitely be making them again.

We baked for the rest of the morning for our Easter dinner.  My parents came over a little early brought all of the kids an Easter basket and then took the kids shopping per Skylar's request for our Anniversary.  They picked out a candle & a picture frame for us and it was a very sweet gesture!  Love them to pieces.
