Reds Opening Day/Our Anniversary

Our anniversary fell on a Monday this year, on Opening Day.  This was Creag's 15th Opening Day, and my 1st.  It had been a tradition in the past that Creag took Sammie to the Opening Day Parade.  This year, we took all of the kids.  We both went into work that morning for a few hours and send the kids to school.  Creag signed them all out a little early and I met them at Creag's parents house.  We drove around the city for I swear 40 minutes before we found a parking spot & then walked to the parade.  We packed the kids lunches, and they ate it on the curb while they watched the parade.  The parade lasted just about 2 hours.  After the parade, Michael met us downtown and took the kids back to the house so Creag & I could go to the game.

Michael dropped us off near the ballpark & we picked up our tickets that were dropped off at Will Call by Patrick.  At first, our tickets could not be found so we were a little nervous.  After Creag talked to Patrick and he assured him that they were dropped off he went up there a second time.  The guy FINALLY found them.  Our tickets were in a Suite that one of Creag's customers had reserved & invited us to.  They had all of the food & drinks you could imagine and it was awesome!  We were actually right next door to Charlie Sheen.  I didn't believe it at first, but saw him with my own two eyes about half way through the game.  During the game, Mr. Redlegs stopped in the Suite for some Photo Opps which was hilarious!  The game went into extra innings & during about the 11th inning we decided to leave & relieve Michael of his babysitting duties:)

The Fly Over was awesome!

We listened to the rest of the game on the drive home & the Reds ended up losing in the 13th inning.  When we got home, the kids were up waiting for us but didn't make it much longer than that.  They were asleep in no time.  It was only about 9:30 when we got home, but it felt like 1:00AM.  We didn't do much more because we were beat.  We had a bite each of our wedding cake for good luck & then hit the hay!
